On June 27, Lotus Holdings Co., Ltd. and Shaoxing Research Institute of Zhejiang University reached a research and development cooperation on the comprehensive utilization of monosodium glutamate production by-products and signed an agreement. Li Houwen, chairman of the company, held talks with Gao Changyou, president of Shaoxing Research Institute of Zhejiang University, and witnessed the signing of the contract. Hu Yudong, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Department of Polymer Science and Engineering of Zhejiang University, and Li Hualing, Director of Xiangcheng Science and Technology Bureau, were invited to attend and speak. The company's senior vice president Zeng Yanshuo and chief quality officer Zheng Dezhou attended the signing ceremony.

First of all, Gao Changyou welcomed Xiangcheng Science and Technology Bureau and Lotus Holdings to visit and implement cooperation matters, introduced the basic situation of Shaoxing Research Institute of Zhejiang University, and made plans and prospects for the implementation of future cooperation between the two sides.

Li Houwen first thanked Zhejiang University for its strong support to the company, and introduced the basic situation of Lotus Holdings' development history, business operation, and development strategy, hoping to deeply integrate Zhejiang University's strong talents and scientific research advantages with Lotus Holdings' industrial and market advantages. Effectively exert the multiplier effect, achieve new R & D results and transformation results as soon as possible, and create a new model of school-enterprise cooperation.

Li Hualing congratulated Shaoxing Research Institute of Zhejiang University on the successful signing of the contract with Lotus Holdings. He said that the research institute relies on Zhejiang University and has strong technical and talent support. As a leading company in the industry, Lotus Holdings has always insisted on relying on innovation to lead and enhance the core competitiveness of the company. The cooperation between the two sides is an important step in the integration of industry, university and research. Xiangcheng Science and Technology Bureau will fully support the cooperation project between Lotus Holdings and the Research Institute to blossom and bear fruit, and actively do a good job in service support.

Hu Yudong said in the summary that Zhejiang University has always regarded serving the national development strategy and regional economic and social needs as an important mission. The cooperation between the Research Institute and Lotus Holdings is also a great event for the polymer department of Zhejiang University. It is hoped that the Institute will continue to explore and innovate in the future and make new and greater contributions to the development of the country.
