On November 10, Li Bin, Vice Chairman and CEO of Lianhua Holdings, met with Zhang Yang, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Zhang Hua, Dean, along with their delegation from the School of Food and Bioengineering at Zhengzhou University of Light Industry. Also in attendance were Zheng Dezhou, Chief Quality Officer; Li Haifeng, Chief International Marketing Officer; Tian Li, Chief Manufacturing Officer; Yang Weifeng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Trade Union; Liu Jianchun, Assistant to the Chairman; and heads of relevant departments.

Before the symposium, Zhang Yang and his delegation toured the company’s production workshops, corporate exhibition hall, R&D and quality control center, gaining a detailed understanding of the company’s operations, brand culture, product development, and quality management practices.

At the symposium, Li Bin first extended a warm welcome to Zhang Yang and his delegation, and then shared insights into the company's development journey, strategic vision, product portfolio, R&D achievements, as well as the impressive business results attained in recent years under the brand revitalization strategy.

Zhang Yang expressed his appreciation for Lianhua Holdings' remarkable business achievements and its corporate development philosophy, and introduced the history of Zhengzhou University of Light Industry, including its institutional structure and distinctive academic programs. He also shared the accomplishments made by the School of Food and Bioengineering in areas such as technology R&D, commercialization of scientific research outcomes, and talent cultivation.

Both sides engaged in an in-depth exchange focusing on collaborative efforts in areas such as new product development and the commercialization of scientific research outcomes. They unanimously expressed their commitment to actively exploring cooperative opportunities in these fields, strengthening university-enterprise partnerships, and achieving breakthrough results at an early date.

It is understood that Zhengzhou University of Light Industry is located in Zhengzhou City. The university's historical roots can be traced back to 1956. As a key university under Henan Province’s distinctive and backbone institution-building initiative, it has undertaken more than 4,000 research projects—both vertical and horizontal—involving national programs such as the National Science and Technology Support Program, the National Key R&D Program, the National Natural Science Foundation Project, and the National Social Science Foundation Project. The university has received six national-level science and technology awards and over 160 provincial- and ministerial-level honors. In the past five years, it has ranked third among universities in Henan Province in terms of the number of approved Henan Provincial Science and Technology Progress Awards. Additionally, for four consecutive years, it has been listed among the top 100 Chinese universities in terms of contract value for technology transfer and commercialization.

On August 26, Lianhua Holdings held the 2026 “Golden Autumn Assistance” scholarship award ceremony, presenting RMB 1,000 in scholarships to each of 60 students, along with gift sets containing Lianhua edible oil and fresh matsutake mushrooms.
